Multiple UDP ports ===> single/one QMSS queue

Hi Ti Folks,

Searched this forum for any such earlier post. Sorry, did not try this on 6670 board before posting onto forum.

Can i add rules in PA in such a way that two[or more] UDP ports are terminating on same qmss queue.

In other words, a packet with UDP Port ABC or XYZ can end up in a QMSS queue. Can this be extended to Many Ports. Any Limit.

Here i am not talking about a RANGE OF UDP PORTS for example 1000 to 1023 terminating on a qmss queue.

i am talking about a random udp port numbers like 1100,981,2938,11897 terminating on a qmss queue. [i assume it should be possible, please confirm ?]

Thanks

RC Reddy

  • Hi, Reddy:

There is no restriction. You will need to add one LUT2 entry for each destination port.  You can specify the same destination queue and even the same swInfo0 for multiple entries in its corresponding routing information ( paRouteInfo_t). This is a typical use case.

    Best regards,
