is it possible 8bit bt.656 720p video input signal capture ?

Hi.

i have a plan to develop 720P hd-sdi product.

when i check netra spec,  8BIT BT.656 is acceptable.

do you know that netra can accept 720P 8bit BT.656 format?(i'm not considering Full HD- it's using 10bit BT.1120 format)

TI816x mcfw demo hd usecase is possible to use 720p capture?

below is 720p hd-sdi diagram. could you let me know this diagram is possible?

thank you.

  • Thank you for your Reply.

    it's much helped for me.

    i have a another question.

    we are plan to develop hybrid product with 720p 4channel and D1 4channel input signal.

    D1 (720x480x8)  one channel have a 27MHz clock, thus i draw blow clock diagram.

    have a question for comfirmation, is it possible channel multiplexing and below clock input?

    720P CH1 ,2 (72MHz) -----> VIN0 first 8BIT

    720P CH3, 4 (72MHz) -----> VIN0 second 8BIT

    D1 CH5, 6 (54MHz) -----> VIN1 first 8BIT

    D1 CH7, 8(54MHz) -----> VIN1 second 8BIT

    Best Regards. CHO.

  • Hi,

    So you want 4 720p and 4 D1 channels, two same streams on one VIP port. It should be possible since each vip can support stream upto 148MHz, all you need to do is to take care of muxing the streams correctly..
