Migration issues from CCSv3.3(DSP/BIOS) to CCSv5.2(SYS/BIOS)

Hi All,

I want to port a project from CCSv3.3(DSP/BIOS) to CCSv5.2(SYS/BIOS).

In CCSv3.3, I have used static configuration in the project for HWI, SWI,Tasks,Semaphores,queues and mailbox.

At present i am copying all source files from ccsv3.3 and creating the config file statically in ccsv5.2,I am facing with a lot of errors.

What all things i need to keep in mind in order to port this project to work in CCSv5.2.Is there any specific settings to do this.

i already went through the wiki page for porting to CCSv5 but it didn't helped me to my satisfaction,

Can anyone help me out with this,Thanks in advance.

Hi Manju,

Have you seen the document "Migrating a DSP/BIOS 5 Application to SYS/BIOS 6"?

It's located in your SYS/BIOS installation. For example it's here on my PC:

C:\ti\bios_6_30_02_42\docs\Bios_Legacy_App_Note.pdf

Hi Steven,

Thanks for the help,the doc is helping me alot.

The first step i completed(Conveting a *.tcf file to *.cfg file using XS command) successfully,But when i am putting this *.cfg file into project its not showing me the Statically configured TASKS,SEMAPHORES,HWI,SWI etc.

Am i missing something while converting the *.tcf file into *.cfg file.

Request your help.

Can you please elaborate on this? Perhaps provide a screen shot to show me?

Off the top of my head, I think it could be a refresh problem. Have you tried closing and reopening the cfg file? Do you still see the issue?

Yes i tried closing and reopening the cfg file,but still i am getting the same window.
