Hi,
I'm using TMS320C5515 EVM. I'm wondering whether there is some tool or method to analyze the power and speed of the board for my application?
Thanks,

There is a Estimating Power Consumption on the TMS320C5504/05/14/15/32/33/34/35 DSPs for the device.

Thanks for the reply.
I checked the source you provided. But I'm wondering how accurate it is? It can only estimate the power based on the frequency of different parts. It cannot differentiate when I make use of different number of modules and functional units. Or the difference like this won't make much difference for the power consumption?
Thanks,
Qingkun
This tool gives a typical estimation of peripherals in use. CMOS devices power consumption is mainly depends on voltage and frequency.
Also, board design and proper handling of floating IOs are all key to power consumption.
Regards.
Thanks for the explanation.
I understand that. But what about the different utilization of CPU modules? For example, only using adder VS. making full use of MACs, MULTs, will this make much difference in terms of power consumption?
And is there a way to estimate the speed?
Thanks,
Qingkun
