Booting from C6748

Hi

I have a problem with booting from SPI1 flash in my custom board.

I convert my *.out to Tektronik hexadecimal  format using hex6x.exe .

Then write this hexadecimal data on to SPI flash. I verfiy the write by rereading the flash.  So writing my hexadecimal code to flash it Ok.

Then, from boot options I selec SPI1 Flash. But no code seems to be loaded. I view the signals SPI1_SIMO, SPI1_SOMI, SPI1_CLK with oscilloscope but there

does not seem to be anything going on there.

My question: is my procedure correct.

I donot convert my *.out file to AIS image and hence no magic command is added to the begining of my flash image.

DOes this mean that bootoader does not see any code that is to be loaded to the RAm.

Best regards

izzet
