Hierarchical P encoding does not work

Heirarchical coding is enbaled by numTemporalLayers but also dependednt on various other parameters such as GOP intervel, intra frame interval etc. Please check other  parameters.

Could you give some advice about the miscellaneous settings? Is there any detailed documentation, because the offical User's Guide (SPRUHG3) does not contain anything about these constraints.

         For Hierarchical Coding, the reference Picture Marking is not supported for Short term Picture. It has only support for IH264_LONG_TERM_PICTURE.

This information is missed in User Guide version 02.00.02.02.

• enableLongTermRefFrame = IH264ENC_LTRP_REFERTO_PERIODICLTRP
• LTRPPeriod = 17
• referencePicMarking = IH264_LONG_TERM_PICTURE

        When numTemporalLayer > 1, LTRPPeriod should be multiple of Sub-Gop length.

numTemporalLaye=4 , sub-gop length is 8,

numTemporalLaye=3 , sub-gop length is 4, etc.

There is nothing about this in my User's Guide (SPRUHG3, June 2012). Is there a newer one? I've modified the LTRPPeriod to 8 (and 16 also) and the H-P still is out-of-order. (I've uploaded the modified config)

Is my below understanding correct ,

Without Hierarchical coding (i.e numTemporalLayer = 1),  the codec is working fine.

With Hierarchical coding (i.e numTemporalLayer = 4), the codec giving error. If yes what is the error ??

About the issue:

When the numTemporalLayer == 1, the codec is working fine. The GET_STATUS reports that status.numTemporalLayer == 1. The encoder process call gives back the encoded frames (I and P) and reports outArg.temporalId is always 0 for all frames. 

When the numTemporalLayer == 4, the GET_STATUS reports that status.numTemporalLayer == 1 also. The output of the encoder is the same: I and P frames and outArg.temporalID is always 0 for all frames.

About the user guide: Could you give me a link to the new version of User's Guide?
