OMAP L137 CCSV5 Setting Up....

Hi,

I've been using C6678 for a long time now in CCSV5 and suddenly I have to use OMAP L137 in CCSV5.

What I have installed in my PC now is CCSV5.3. Previously, I used CCSV3.3 for the OMAP L137 and along with it, I installed DSP BIOS 6.33.06.50, BIOS USB 1.10.03, EDMA LLD 2.0.1.4 and RTFS 1.10.2.32. This is the requirement in my project in order to use the SD-CARD for file IO.

My question is, in CCSv5, we can create Target Configuration File (.ccxml), and then we can set up Debug Configuration to make it faster to compile, load, and run the DSP. I'm stuck there. I don't know where and which .gel file to use.

In my project (I've already migrated from CCSv3.3 to CCSv5.1 before) I'm using only the C6747 core and not the ARM. So, my question are:

1. Should I give the .gel file for the ICEPICK_C and if yes which one is the correct .gel file?

2. Should I give the .gel file for the ICEPICK_C->Subpath_0->C674X_0 and if yes which one is the correct .gel file?

I have try to use dskda830_dsp.gel for the C674X_0 only and when I connect I received the following error message:

I think this is not a big problem. My project compiled fine and now I just want to load it by using the Target Configuration File and Debug Configuration.

Many thanks

Rizuan

  • I've found the solution. It turns out the new OMAP L137 by default is set to boot from the SD-Card to boot the MV-Linux in it. This is different from my old OMAP L137. Just refer to the manual and change the SW2 conf.
