Can I connect FPGA V5 TO C6678 BY PCIE ?

C6678  supprt PCIE Gen2 , but FPGA V5 only supprt PCIE Gen1 , Can I connect them BY PCIE ?

    Please take a look at section 4.3.1 in PCIe Base Specification Rev2.0 (from PCISIG), which C6678 is compatible with:

    "All 5.0 GT/s compatible PCI Express devices must support both 5.0 GT/s capabilities as well as retaining 100% backwards compatibility with the 2.5 GT/s specification."

    The device which supports GEN2 (5.0GT/s) will support GEN1 (2.5GT/s) as well. 

    So you can connect C6678 with FPGA in GEN1 and the maximum speed after link initialization will be GEN1 (commonly supported by both peers).
