Configure 1GB DDR in 37x

Have you check the 1 GB memory configuration from u-boot? You can try writing an reading the DDR from u-boot. If this is validated, then you check the bootargs. Also what is the bootargs being passed to kernel? I recommend you to validate the memory configuration from u-boot first before proceeding to kernel.

Here's the configuration,

Architecture: 128 Meg X 16

Configuration:

32Meg X 16 X4 banks

Row addressing: 16K A(13:0)

Column addresssing: 2K A11, A(9:0)

I checked the uboot configuration, it is set to 1GB, with proper row and column addressing. Bootargs are intialized to mem=80M and mem=860M.

DDR shows 512 at 0x80000000 and 512 @ 0xA00000000.

Any inputs on how to validate the memory configuration from u-boot?

In the latest u-boot there is an mtest command to test the memoy. You can specify the start address, size to be tested. I'm not sure about your particular u-boot, whether the command is available or not.

Also have you tried using mem=940M instead of splitting and giving?
