about the USB1 host mode

Hi,

on my target board , I just need USB1 as host mode only , not OTG.can I just

directly connect the USB1_VBUS to +5v without the switch (TPS2051BD)controlled by USB1_DRVVBUS.

if I want USB0 as host mode only, can I do the design like USB1? is there any potential issue?

No, you cannot. The MUSB controllers on AM335x are OTG controller, USBx_VBUS _must_ to be controlled by USBx_DRVVBUS.

There is no difference between USB0 and USB1.

but I directly connected USB1_VBUS to +5v and running the example of use_host_mouse which is working properly actually. Can you explain this and any potiential issues?

Some mouses does not work properly when USB1 VBUS applied first, because the controller entering into host mode takes after some delay once tbhe board is powered ON. But mouse gets the power before controller is enter into host mode.

It is advised that you should connect VBUS through DRVVBUS signal from controller. Even though USB1 port is forced to host mode, internally it is OTG port.
