dm8148 dsp execution without arm?

Hi all,

We are in the process of executing a code in DM814x; (processor not working fine) If this possible to execute the dsp side code alone in TI Simulator? Because when we are debugging, the flow not coming to main function in dsp side eventhough we are putting breakpoint in main function. Its just keep on running, When we use the pause symbol, its pointing somewhere that timer.c file not found?

How to run a program in dsp processor, eventhough the code has effect on arm processor, using TI Simulator?

inspite of processor not working, emulator also not working...so how to run dsp side alone?

Are you trying to run on a simulator or on the real device? It sounds like you are using the term "simulator" when you mean "CCS". Is that true?

Yes we are trying to run on the CCS Simulator. Is it possible to run the dsp codes alone.

And what is a dsp trace? Is that useful in this issue?

Hi AmrithaRaj,

It is possible to run DSP alone code on simulator. Select C674x Cycle accurate simulator from the device list and use the same for the development.
