can we tap into HDVICP2 subsystem for low delay macroblock based h.264 compression?

hello there,

Just curious if we can tap into HDVICP2 subsystem for low delay h.264 compression and access resuting bit streams at macro-block level? can we do it with

intensive software development or straightforward register programming?  Thank you so much

  • Hi Liyen,

There is a feature by name DataSync ( a set of APIs) which HDVICP2 codec support which can achieve the low-delay encoding proving the bits as and when generated at a granularity of few Kbs (which is configurable. But Application/Higher layer which calls the codecs should have some implementation for the overall feature to be functional.

You can read more about the DataSync in the codec userguide as a separate Appendix on this topic.

  • hello,

Thank you very much for the quick explanation upon this subject, due to the unfamiliarity of DataSync or HDVICP2

architecture, would you please pin-point the location where I can find detailed user guides for these? thx again
