am335x share sdio: sd-card and wl1271

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: WL1271, AM3359

Dear TI forum!

We have a custom am3359 board. Our design has a wl1271 WiFi chip and a SD-card connector on the mmc0 port via a SDIO port expander (txs02612rtwr).

SDIO signals are muxed with the help of a gpio pin, toggling this pin switches signal routing to either sd-connector or wlan module.

Both components are tested standalone (hard coded gpio as 0 or 1) and work fine.

Now for the question: how does one go about using both sd-card and wlan module on a  running Linux system using the sdio port expander :-)

Should this be done from user space or is there some kernel kung-fu to get this working?

I believe there is a reference design (am335xevm?) that uses this principle for one of its daughterboards, but have been unable to find any information on this as of now.

Any hints  would greatly be appreciated.

Best regards,

Anton Olofsson
