USB WIFI doesn't work on AM335X board

Hi,everybody

I want to use USB WIFI named RTL8192CU on AM335x board. My wifi module is connected to the board via USB port , but it doesn't work.

When I reboot kernel which consist of the driver of WIFI module,it can't initializes usb and the system stops there.

I use the kernel that the version is linux-3.2.0-04.06.00.08. I think the driver is ok

Does the kernel support USB WIFI.

How can I go on? Could you give me some advice please?

We followed the instructions here for the Dlink DWA-125 on the AM335x EVM USB0 port and were successful (even though the original question for DM814x Linux here: http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/davinci_digital_media_processors/f/716/p/164084/666205.aspx) .

Not sure what would be different for your USB WiFi but maybe you can try a similar procedure (or find the same USB WiFi).

Thanks for your response.

I tried USB WIFI named RT3070 on the AM335x board and it worked.But RT3070 does not support AP mode that we need.

So we found RTL8192CU supports AP mode and RTL8192CU driver I am using has been intergared in kernel .

I could use the USB WIFI RT8192CU on my PC windows system.I wonder why it can't be initialized on AM335X board.

Does DWA-125 you used support AP mode.

When you insert the USB WiFi adapter, do you see any console messages? If so can you post them in a reply.

I soloved the problem. I post another driver for the usb wifi and compiled the driver under the kernel.
