    Hello,

    I do not think there is such a register, to check whether you are using DM8167 or DM8168 device. You can check the Part# (in example TMS320DM8167BCYG2, TMS320DM8167SCYG, TMS320DM8167SCYG2, TMS320DM8167SCYG4) to define if you are using DM8167 device.

    The only difference between DM8168 and DM8167 is that DM8167 does not have SGX graphics accelerator, so the SGX registers (see table 1-48 from the DM816x TRM) should not exist, thus not software accessible/configurable, for DM8167 device.
