Maximum capture resolution supported by DM816x

Hi all,

I would like to know the maximum resolution that Netra (DM816x) can capture on a video port ?

As far as I know, any resolution with <165 MHz pixel clock can be support, can someone please confirm my understanding ?

I want to capture following resolutions.

  1. 2000x1500@30 fps
  2. 1920x1440@30 fps

Is it possible to capture above resolutions ? If no, what will be the nearest max. resolution for above case ?

Thanks in advance,
Sweta

  • Hi,

We have validated capture till 1920X1200, we have not validated beyond that. Further there are line buffers inside various IPs like scalar, chroma conversion etc. So these line buffers can handle 1920 at max.  So you can do raw capture without any IPs till 2000 pixels. But this is not advisable nor recommended since we have never validated this.

  • Hello Hardik,

I am interested in capturing 2000x1500 resolution YUV data with embedded sync. Please check my communication with Brijesh Jadav at below link:

As per his comment, I can capture the data but there is minimum requirement of pixels between EAV to SAV. Do you know what is the requirement? How many clock ticks are required between EAV and SAV by HDVPSS hardware?
