C5535/C5515 cannot active from RTC-only-mode by sending Wake-up signal.

Hi community member,

Would you please provide advice to me for following issue?

[Issue]

C5515/C5535 did not wake-up from "RTC only mode" in case of continuing input the wake-up signal many times.

※I confirm this issue by using C5515EVM and sample code and captured the waveform when this phenomenon occurred. Please check the picture which I attached to this forum.

* Bule line: Wake-up signal Red: CVDD

[Question]

What is the cause of this? And is there any workaround for this issue?

[Request]

If possible, would you please confirm the behavior of this by creating the test code in your side?

* The sample code should be as follow.

1. Initialize the device and run the "Active" state(XF pin = "H")

* At this time, the wake-up source should be wake-up pin.

2. After 2 sec, change the state from "Active" to "RTC only-mode"(XF pin = "L")

3. When come from external wake-up signal. wake-up the device(XF= "H"). i.e. Change the state from "RTC only-mode" to "Active".

4. After 2sec, change the state from "Active" to "RTC only-mode".(XF="L")

Continue this loop (2-->3-->4-->3->4).

Can you attach your test code?

Also, a high pulse for a minimum of one RTC clock period (30.5us) to the WAKEUP pin is required to wake up the device from RTC only mode. Can you confirm the pulse width used?

Hi Vasanth,

in fact from my side, I success to enter in RTC only mode and leave it by pressing WAKEUP pin.

But after that I'm unable to go back again in RTC only mode and I don't know why.

Do you have a sample code working and able to do that ?

Have you tried copy and paste the codes from the wiki page? It should work.

in my case when the wakeup interrupt occurs the chip restarts is it desired ? i dont think so !

I met the same problem when I wakeup by RTC alarm from RTC only.

I guess the pulse width is smaller than 30.5us.

Could you tell me how to change the pulse width ?
