1080i60 support

I have a custom board that is based around the DM8148 and has a TVP70025 (industrial temp version of the TVP7002 that's on the EVM) and I need to support HD video at 1080i60 on this board. I've tested 720p60 and 1080p60 and both work as expected. The saFbdevLoopback application has a comment that 1080i60 is not support for capture. If I override this particular check and force the HDVPSS into 1080i60 using the appropriate sysfs entry, it reports that 1080i60 is set but the incoming video is mirrored like the HDVPSS is still in 1080p60 mode.

Is 1080i60 supported or not? I'm using EZSDK 5.04.00.11 as a basis for my work. If 1080i60 is not supported yet, is the limitation a software one with the various V4L2 drivers or is it a limitation of the M3 firmware that is loaded to get the HDVPSS operational?

Hi,

For saFbdevLoopback incoming YUV needs to be converted to RGB, which is not possible with interlaced inputs because of hardware limitation. But saLoopBack will work for 1080i60 as well. So use saLoopBack instead of saFbdevLoopback. Only difference between both is one is displaying YUV format while other is displaying RGB format.
