NDK Hello World Example No Output issue

I had been using the NDK Hello World (UDP) example on TMS320C6678 a few weeks ago, and I went to fire it up today and it builds and loads up the debugger, but no console output ever happens. If I set breakpoints in the main function, they are never hit. I am certain I am doing something stupid - something with configuration or setup. What are the things to check?

Changing the boot mode to I2C POST boot via the DIP switches fixed the issue. I am not sure I fully understand why the boot mode needs to change from one project to another, but it fixed the problem.

Scott,

It sounds like you forgot to do the initial EVM setups (DDR, PLL, SERDES, etc.). POST sets these up in the code, but the helloworld example does not do it by default. In no-boot mode, try loading the GEL file and running Global_Default_Setup before emulating the helloworld example.

(refer to "Loading and Setting up the EVM with the Gel file" in our Getting Started Guide if you are unsure).
