Replacing the NOR flash on C5515 ezDSP board with SRAM

Hi,

Is it possible to replace the NOR flash on C5515 ezDSP board with similar SRAM chiup. Obivously the SRAM must use same 48 TSOP pinout but is it othewise OK regarding the EMIF configuration? Renesas R1WV6416R (8 Mb, too large, or only half of the memory can be used?) is one candidate for SRAM. R1WV6416R

It might be possible. Let us know if you do it.

Use a 16-bit wide SRAM so BA1 lines with A[0]. See Figure 1-8. Connecting Data and Address Bus to Asynchronous Memory Devices in http://www.ti.com/litv/pdf/sprugu6a

Refer also to the EVM5505 3.3V Memory Daughter Card that has the IS61WV102416BLL SRAM device.
