About the pll bug in bootloader

I try to boot C6678 by spi + nor .

Some one sayed there is a bug in the bootloader , so the FPGA in the EVM is programmed to always boot to the I2C to do the PLL fix and re-enter the boot to boot in the specified bootmode.

Is my own board must do that such as EVM ?

There is no EEPROM in my Board , is it i cannot boot C6678 by spi in my board ?

Hi Xi su,

The PLL issue was solved in silicon rev2.0, please check the device errata (sprz334e.pdf), so you can boot using the SPI without the EEPROM,

Is all of the TMS DSP dont have the PLL issue ?

Hi Xi Su,

I assume all the TMS devices are Rev2.0, you can read the device Rev by reading the register MM_REVID (0181 2000h), you can see the register field description in the device user guide (sprs691c.pdf Table 5-2, the expected value for Rev 2.0 is defined in the device Errata sprz334e.pdf table 2 (Rev. 2.0 - MM_REVID[REVISION] = 0001h) ,
