EVM dm8148 HDMI Audio Out Testing

Dear Ti members,

I am working with an EVM DM8148 Board which come from mistral company. The ezsdk 5.04.00.11 is using as the software. I am trying to find a way to test HDMI audio out. If you have some hints or instructions please give me a hand.

You can use the simple ALSA aplay utility to play out a wav file using the following command

# aplay -D<device> <sample file.wav>

Note: The device number can be find using aplay -l . The default HDMI device is hw:0,1

Ex: # aplay -Dhw:0,1 <sample file.wav>

You have to enable kernel HDMI audio feature like followings:

"On-chip HDMI audio support for TI81XX EVM" is disabled in the default DM8148 EVM kerel configuration.

I have tested the attached 48 Khz wave file and HDMI audio works fine in DM8148 EVM.
