Denzil,
Are you using some specific library (e.g. NDK) or sample code on the EVM?
If your question is how we map IP (Internet Protocol) address and MAC address, an answer is IP defines ARP (address resolution protocol) and (TCP/)IP stack maintains the mappings at any IP node.

Hello Atsushi,
I am using the emac example code present in the PDK packages.
In the code we are intializing the src IP to 192.168.1.1 . So if i want to transmit a UDP packet using iperf to the mentioned ip i am not able to do it.
I was not able to ping the board using the above mentioned IP. The packets are being transmitted to the destination successfully, from the board to the PC. I was able to capture the packet in wireshark. But was not able to ping the board from the PC.

Denzil.
Hi Arun,
Could you please guide me how to configure the board in static ip mode.
i tried to put down the second switch in the SW9 module of the EVM board and then tries to ping the board i was not successful.

Denzil.
Denzil,
I don't remember the emac example very much, but my understanding is the example does not recognize nor transmit ARP. So, I guess you need to configure ARP table on Windows (or Linux) OS manually. You can refer manual page of arp command by man command in Linux environment, but I will show an example by Windows to configure ARP table manually (statically) below. This example tells Windows OS that 192.168.1.1 (IP address) corresponds to 01-02-03-04-05-06 (MAC address). (Please note we need administrator privilege to do it.)
