Audio Issue on Panda, Release 4AI.1.7

Hi, I'm using the release 4AI.1.7 from http://omappedia.org/wiki/4AI.1.7_OMAP4_Icecream_Sandwich_Panda_Notes, but I cannot get audio from my headset, is anyone know how to make it work?

Hi Derek Ray,

On panda board, Audio Plug Detection pin of Phoenix Audio IC is floating.

You have to connect the pin (TP 19) to GND to enable audio from the headset.

When you connect the pin to GND, audio from headset is ON and audio from HDMI is OFF. And vice versa

Yeah, i have tried this way, and I can get the audio from the headset, but I got another issue.

When a sound has finished, it plays a short time(about two secends) noise, and after this, it will keep silent (Just like I plug out the headset), till I play next sound.

Do you get this issue when you try this on pandaboard?

Hi Derek,

Even when you have kernelpanda8.patch in 4AI.1.7 it doesn't make playback in headset?, make sure the path is correctly set.
