what acts on boot arg "run_hardware_tests"?

Gentle persons:

Throughout u-boot examples for various Beagle boards, there appears the boot arg "run_hardware_tests". I cannot find this arg in vanilla Linux distributions, so I'm making an assumption that it is specific to TI build environments.

Can anyone point me to the appropriate documentation? (Or tell me if I'm looking in the wrong place. I've already asked on the beagleboard.org site and gotten no response.)

    The beagle community is not supported in this forum. You might try submitting the question again to the beagle community and perhaps reference the section the documentation that you have a question about.  I am not familiar with the run hardware tests,  it might be the something the beagle community has implemented.
