DM8168 has got 3 instances of HDVICP2.
Assuming HDVICP2 is clocked at nominal clock of 400MHz.
60fps of encode and decode is feasible for H.264 and MPEG4.
Hi Venugopala,
Thank you very much for the quick response.
I see that there is no issue here in terms of hardware, but is there an issue in terms of TI's codec (H.264 and MPEG-4 encoder and decodes).
In encoder UG, it says that the default refframerate is 30fps, while the supported value "ignored". What does this mean ? Is it limited to 30fps ?
In decoder UG it says that maximum framerate is set to 30fps, and ignored at creation time. What does this means ? Is it limited to 30fps ?
Best Regards,
Ran
No, the codec is not limited to 30fps.
I have already answer the query and confusion over the refframerate and targetframerate @
