Linux SDK and PRUSS

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PROFIBUS, AM3359

Hi,

I have a Beaglebone, currently running the 5.06 Linux SDK, and also a AM335x IDK.

I'd like to try out the EtherCat and Profibus implementations for the Programmable Real-time Units that the AM3359 processor has. But as far as I understand, to use them I need to run the Sitara SYS/BIOS SDK, not the Linux SDK., is this correct ?

Or can I somehow use the precompiled firmware for the "Programmable Real-time Units" also when running Linux on the ARM processor ?

Further, is there any Linux SDK that supports the IDK (Industrial Development Kit) ?

To start with, even if there is no Linux SDK for the IDK, I'd like to get the Profibus firmware for the Programmable Real-time Units to at least be loaded to the PRU's on the Beaglebone, even if the communication cannot be tested due to lack of physical interface. If it is at all possible to do this when running Linux on the ARM processor...
