Hello,

is it possible to use the AM3354 ZCE and the ST Micro MT29F NAND Flash with 16-Bit? I have also connected a LCD like the starterkit AM335x (24Bit RGB, LCD_DATAx, GPMC_Ax) .

Can i use 3,3V for the LCD (LCD_DATAx, GPMC_Ax) and 1,8V for the NAND (GPMC_Ax) with the 8-bit NAND?

And last whats a typically size for the files in NAND to boot Android or Linux from the NAND Flash into RAM?

Hi Stefan,

It's not possible to combine a 24-bit LCD with 16-bit NAND on the ZCE package. 24-bit LCD with 8-bit NAND combination is possible. I would strongly reccomend that you choose a 3.3V NAND - there have been problems with 1.8V NAND memories, which have not been solved yet, and no problems with 3.3V NAND memories.

For the file sizes I can't say, I only work on hardware issues, but you can check from the SD card images, if you have them.

I am planning to using the 16-bit LCD and 16-bit nand on the ZCZ package. Is that possible ?

Yes, on the ZCZ package there is no problem.

24-bit LCD combines only with 8-bit nand on the ZCZ package. Why don't you download the pinmux utility (http://www.ti.com/tool/pinmuxtool). With it you can easily try out all combinations.
