Problem in Video Capture with different boardId's

Hi, I am working on Video Capture module on DM816x ti-Netra platform.

We have a custom dm816x-base board on which am not able to capture video properly.

I am getting "VPS_PLATFORM_BOARD_VS" as boardid (some enum). While I used to get "VPS_PLATFORM_BOARD_CATALOG" as boardid with the development Netra EVM on which my video capture is working fine. I think with VPS_PLATFORM_BOARD_CATALOG settings, video capture will work fine; Please tell me can we change the boardid? if yes how to change?

I have one more doubt; we can see mapping of these board ID's VPS_PLATFORM_BOARD_VS - TVP5158, VPS_PLATFORM_BOARD_CATALOG - TVP7002 etc.

Does it mean the the hardware what we are using has the respective TVP decoder? or its a software switch? Please help me in resolving this.

Hi,

If Board ID is VPS_PLATFORM_BOARD_VS, it assumes decoder connected to video port is TVP5158. Whereas VPS_PLATFORM_BOARD_CATALOG, it assumes decoder is TVP7002. Could you hard code it to VPS_PLATFORM_BOARD_CATALOG and see it it works?

Hi,

I tried hard coding but didn't solve my problem..
I guess It will set some registers internally.. So how can we change that..?

Hi,

Hard code this in the function which you are using to get this ID. The same function will be used by everyone to get the id and configure accordingly.
