I would like to ask for your help in understanding how to use the ethernet performance table as appears in "DM816X PSP fearures performance guide". The table shows several values of cpu load and bandwindth for a given tcp window size. I would like to understand the cpu load using udp packets of 1500 bytes in 1Ghz emac, but I find it hard to understnad that using the gioven table. Another question for this anlysis is: if for example for transmitting packet of 1500 bytes, the bandwidth is 500Mbytes/sec and cpu load is 80 %, what will be the cpu load for 100 Mbytes/sec, is it a linear function: for this example cpu utilization = 100/500 * 80 = 16 % ?
