Could C6678's PCIE works on one lane?

Hi all,

The C6678's PCIE interface is two-lane. But I want to use one of these lanes to connect the PEX8112 (PCIE-to-PCI bridge). The PEX8112's PCIE interface is one lane. Could this work well?
