Hi,

I am a newbie trying to use TMS320C5515 eZdsp for my own project. I ran the sample program that cam with the installation kit. However, I am having difficulty in finding documentation that gives a step by step flow of how to create my own project and download it on the chip and run it. I have CCS v4 and also installed the TMS320C55x Chip Support Libraries. Can someone please provide me a pointer to create a very simple program to run on this chip and the necessary configurations that I must have for the CCS.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the pointers. I went through your pointers and was able to get the module running. However, I am having problem with the microphone. I have plugged in my microphone at the stereo in input but am not being able to get any signal to be processed by the processor. The mic I bought is as follows:

Not sure if this is a mic problem. I have tested aic3204 and mic passes the test. So it looks like it is not a problem of the mic though. Any issue that I should be aware of?

Hi Dipanjan,

This board design problem - we did not provide the microphone bias supply to the line in jack... So your electret microphone (PC mic) does not have its required bias - it wont produce any signals..

You can use a dynamic mic / 600-ohm mic which does not require this bias.. Like this thread: http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/tms320c5000_power-efficient_dsps/f/109/p/113748/853821.aspx

The C5535 eZdsp routes the MIC bias from the AIC3204 to the microphone jack, so you can use that microphone with the C5535 eZdsp.
