I'm looking to interface Android to a custom camera using the Toshiba TC358746XBG Parallel to MIPI-CSI bridge chip. I have identified three possible hardware platforms, Blaze, Pandaboard or Variscite SoM-OM44. I would like some help to choose the most appropriate platform. Some questions are:
Does the Blaze hardware allow connection to an external CSI camera?
If I choose the Variscite module will I have problems getting new versions of Android to run?
Will the Toshiba CSI bridge chip just work with existing camera drivers?
Does the Ducati engine allow me to access pixel data completely unaltered?
many thanks,
Luke
