DM6467T UBL Issues

Hi Dear All,

I have downloaded the 'flash_utils.tar.gz' from http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/DM6467_EVM_Installation for UBL. After build the "ubldavinci" code in CCS5.1.1.00031 with default build settings, I have loaded the "ublDaVinci.out" file with Texas Instruments Simulator Environment. When I run the code in Step Into mode, the Program Control instead of calling any function it is just going to the next line. After completing the main() function Program Control is going to the next function.

PC is at init_vect().

After Step Into Run PC goes to Next line instead of calling init_vect() function.

Can anyone help me about the above issues?

Hi,

It may be due to lack of debug info / symbol tables. So the CCS would skip the Step in and go to the next instruction after executing the function.

Please check the source code of the file where the init_vect is defined and see if it is a C files or asm and what flags are being used for compile.....

Hi Feroz,

Thanks for your reply but I could not understand the lack of debug info / symbol tables. After build I have got "ublDaVinci.map"8507.ublDaVinci.zip file which shows all the GLOBAL SYMBOLS for the functions.

It will be very helpful if you kindly build this UBL code and run in Step Into mode.

Hi Mr. Srikanta,

I mean that the file which contains the function has been compiled w/o the debug flag. So the function name will still be visible but the source level debug will not be possible. Can you please let us know the compiler flags used?

This is one of the reasons I think is the cause.

Hi Mr Srikanta,

It should be part of project-> build options...

You will need to see the .pjt file of the original project...and see the flags also

If it is for settings of flags then please check the attachment3124.flags& .pjt.zip of flags and .pjt files in my project.

Hi Mr. Feroz,

I have already told that I am using the original project and default settings as that of the original project. In my case change only in the version of CCS.

I have migrated the CCSv3.3 UBL project into CCSv5.1.1 and target configuration as follows.
