For the McASP, under what conditions does setting the RSRCLR bit in RGBLCTL not get set in GBLCTL?

I am using the biospsp_03_00_01_00 for the DSP McASP driver and sometimes the code seems to get stuck when trying to set the RSRCLR bit, and the dsp core seems hang up, cause all ohter threads exit.
