Are you using the SOM on your own board or on an EVM? If you have your own board, have you tested the example on the EVM? Please make sure you are setting up the device correctly using the appropriate gel file as the test itself does not set up pin muxing etc.

Also, use the latest PSP releases - links to BIOS PSP or the complete Linux SDK.

I am using the EVM board and latest PSP release 01.30.01. I am not using Linux rather Windows 7 with CCSv4.

It kept saying to insert the card even though card is still there.

Where can I get appropriate GEL file ?

Have you registered your EVM on the LogicPD website? You will be able to gain access to schematics, gel files, BSL package and CCS setup instructions on their site once you login and register.

Yes I am already registered at LogicPD website. I re-downloaded gel files from LogicPD website, there appeared to be 3 files.

OMAPL138_ARM.gel

OMAPL138_DSP.gel

TI_Update_OMAPL138_ARM.gel

Which one of them should be used with OMAP-L138 SOM ?

I managed to run BSL based DSP_eXp_MMSCD test on my OMAP-L138 EVM.

Will you please help me now writing some data to the card ? How can I do that ? I can see the following function call but don't know who does it work ?

MMCSD_writeBlock(MMCSD0, TEST_BLOCK, tx_buffer)

What is TEST_BLOCK here ? How can I define size of data to be written ?

One more thing, why I don't see any data written in SD card after successfully running the example code ?

Tariq,

Sorry for the delayed reply. You can check the mmcsd driver file: evmomapl138_mmcsd.c. in the DSP BSL directory to understand how TEST_BLOCK is used. Seems like this is the multiple of default block size (512 bytes - defined in evmomapl138_mmcsd.c) for reads/wites. TEST_BLOCK is defined as 8 in test_mmcsd.c. 

When you say that you do not see the data after running the experiment, how do you check it? The data written to the SD card will not show up as a file on a PC as this is written as raw data and not as a file system.

I am really confused what software should I install to use StarterWare from windows platform for OMAP-L138 EVM.  The link you provided says about the following options for windows host PC for TMS470 and C6000 DSP but where is OMAP-L138 ?
