I'm a member of a robotic team which participate at the Eurobot contest. We have had disappointment over the years about embedded image processing. We have tested many embedded computer boards with standard usb webcam (home made board, roboard, raspberry pi, ...). But we always have had slow image rate (best we have had is 0.5 fps).
I was searching on the internet when I remembered that TI had shown a irobot with image processing at CES 2012. In the video on TI website, the robot recognise very quickly the tennis ball.
I would like to know which electronic platform and and which kind of drivers for the webcam (I suppose that a linux system is installed on the board) has TI used.
