Hi,

My customer is using AM3517 with Windows Embeded compact 7 OS. And my customer has a problem now.

Customer is doing the system booting test now. Customer's system fails the system boot-up one time in a thousand.

Customer thinks that the system seems to fail while booting. But customer can't find its cause of the problem.

Generally speaking,  in this case, what registers of AM3517 should be checked? Please advise me.

    Hi,

    Does it boot upto some point and then stops?

    In that case you may have to enable more debug messages in Boot-loader or OS depending on from where it stops booting.

    If there are no messages at all on debug console then in that case you may have to check boot option pins.

    If the image is not built with SHIP_BUILD flag enabled then the OS Boot logs shall be seen on Debug console.

    You need to refer the hardware schematic and identify the debug console port and connect it to Host PC to capture os boot logs.
