"DSP On-board emulation" capability

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAP-L138

Hi,

On link:

http://www.ti.com/dsp/docs/dspcontent.tsp?contentId=66115

it says all boards have "DSP On-board emulation". What does it mean? Is it a emulation socket for an external Emulator only? It is not a built-in XDS100 as in TMDSEVM6678L or something else?

Another similar question is the following kit has the emulation socket or not?

http://www.ti.com/tool/tmdxlcdk138

OMAP-L138 Development Kit (LCDK) Status: ACTIVE

                               TMDXLCDK138

Thanks,

The on-board emulation circuit is a XDS100.  An external emulator is not required.

On this platform, no on-board emulation is available.  An external emulator is required.
