Display is not up with kernel 2.6.32

Dear Friends,

I am using customized beagle board with Truly LCD having Himax HX8357C Display controller, I have tried the configuration commands but display is not up in kernel 2.6.32. Backlight is working. I have used the same configuration setting inside u-boot , i am able to see the data which i have sent in display, so i can confirm display is good.

can any body suggest me the solution for this?

Hi Srinivas,

The problem may be due to the incorrect configuration of the bootargs. Pay attention on the omapfb.mode parameter.

There is a example of LCD display settings:

setenv bootargs 'console=ttyS2,115200n8 console=tty0 root=/dev/mmcblk0p2 ro rootwait omapdss.def_disp=lcd omapdss.vram=0:12M,1:0M,2:0M omapfb.mode=lcd:800x480'

I am able to resolve the issue, by modifying the DISPC_POL_FREQ Register ,

The issue is VSYNC and HSYNC was not properly configured. After modifying it , display works fine.
