have error when I execute “ethercat start”，using IgH master to communicate with AM3359...

I  have installed  IgH master in ubuntu,and I used  twisted-pair  linking  between  PC（ubuntu）  and    AM3359,

then,

when  I  execute   “ethercat   start”  in ubuntu,appear error：(dmesg)

I don't know the error  is due to what ? Does someone know ?

I bought  AM3359  back , never to touch...    

Have a Ethercat-slave program is running in firmware before sales time？Because  I saw the  board LED's blink that like flowing water  when  I power   AM3359. I need to burn write firmware  afresh?

 I need to do what,  master(ubuntu)  to  communicate  with  slave(AM3359)  according to the above error ?

Someone can help me ?

    Hi Jupiter,

    I do not have any experience with IgH master as we normally use the PC based Twincat software. Unfortunately you also don't give any info about the slave software/hardware you are using... What board do you use and what software is it running?

    From the messages I would say that your master does see the slave as it controls the state machine from INIT to PREOP. Then it probably does try to read some configuration from the slave device. For more details you will need to take a wireshark log and start to analyze. I also suggest to first verify that you have a working slave and then connect it to your master to see what the issue is. It seems you haven't gone through the IA-SDK documentation yet as this explains how to run the EtherCAT examples. There are also pre-compiled binaries that you can run from an SD card.

    I used  AM335x ICE,

    I do nothing about AM3359 ICE after I got it, I only to use  twisted-pair  linking  between  PC（ubuntu）  and    AM3359  ICE.

    Addition ,  I want to install TwinCAT  in  pc(windows XP),  So,I refer to http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Configuring_TwinCAT_For_AM335x?DCMP=am335x&HQS=am335x_twincat  .

    The website said too fuzzy.can you tell me?

    Dear Julian,

    I am new to ubuntu and ethercat, I am trying to install IgH ethrcat master but have some confusions, I build the software with the help of manual provided my Etherlab. After building I have to build the interface document but I dont know how can I do that, could you please guide me in setting up my first project?
