I would like to find out if the DM3730 allows an external DMA controller to access memory. This means allowing another device to control the address/data and control lines. Thanks,

Hi Dante,

The SDMA controller of the DM3730 supports external DMA requests. A logical channel can be configured to respond to an external synchronization request. You can find the description of the pins and signals in the TRM chapter - 11.2 SDMA Environment at the link below:
