dm8148 nand flash boot problem

hi experts:

I have encounterd a problem when i boot my dm8148 board from nand flash:

I use Spectrum Digital XDST560V2 STM USB Emulator to flash the first stage of u-boot(u-boot.min.nand) tothe flash, nothing appears on the UART. when i connect

spectrum Digital XDST560V2 STM USB Emulator to theboard again, emulator can't connect to the Cortex A8, i try many times, it doesn't work. it seems the A8 fall into

bad situation. can someone help me resolve this problem?  How can i boot the dm8148 from nand flash?

BTW: the type of the nand flash is Micron 29F4G08ABADA:WP

Thanks in advance

jimmy

  • Hello Jimmy,

Probably a good way to handle this is to try first to flash NAND from already started u-boot (in example: from SD card). If that works, you will verify that everything else in your setup is OK and you have to seek the problem in your flashing procedure. How to flash from u-boot is explained here:
