Does anybody have a simple "hello world" type of project that works with the C6678 EVM that I can look at? I downloaded the NDK and went to start a simple project and all of the examples have been moved to the NSK. So, I downloaded the NSK which says that it does not support the 6678 chip. That makes it very hard to get a project going.

I am trying to get a project going where I listen on a TCP socket and then proces the results in the DSP. I have not been having much luck getting the network to actually come up. If we don't get things going soon, I am afraid this project will be cancelled :(

Hi,

There are three places where there are examples of NDK (they are mentioned in the thread I linked):

..\mcsdk_x_yy_zz_ww\examples\ndk\client
..\mcsdk_x_yy_zz_ww\examples\ndk\helloworld
..\mcsdk_x_yy_zz_ww\demos\hua\evmc6678l

Import them in CCS (Project -> Import Existing CCS/CCE Eclipse Project).

Unfortunately I haven't run them to help you further, but I think they're good starting points.

Johannes is correct, those are the best examples. The first two are the simplest. Latest MCSDK is at:

suggest you grab the latest for any bug fixes.

ok, thanks. I have seen these examples. I cannot get them to link properly with my setup. I am getting errors that memory addresses overlap. I have already asked the question on a different thread and will await to see if I can get an answer. In any case, thanks for helping. And I am leaving the question open in case someone has a working example they want point out.

Would you mind posting the linking errors you see? The examples/demos are verified before release and should not have any build errors.

Have you also tried loading the prebuilt .out files that came with the installation?

I don't want to leave you without a response, but it will be a while before I can setup and try it again. We had to make progress because our customer demo is coming up, so we gave up on Sys/Bios and are going with the C6Linux for now. Eventually, I would prefer to go back to SysBios, but not right now.
