LCDK6748 can't show demo

Hello,

Recently I wanna run the demo code (face detect) on LCDK6748. (XDS100v2+LCDK6748). Follow the steps shown in LCDK Quick-Start-Guide (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/BIOS_C6SDK_2.0_Getting_Started_Guide), nothing happens on the Tera Term. The experimental steps were

1. Set the DIP switch

2. Connect the mini USB cable to J3(UART-USB port) and the other end to my host computer.

3. Open a serial port terminal (Tera Term)

4. Set the baud rate to 115200

5. Power on the LCDK board

6. Connect external hardware to LCDK (since I didn't got my camera yet, ignored the step ahead)

7. Nothing happened on the Tera Term

Should I connect the camera(J6) and monitor(J4) in advance before Step 7?? If anyone has any advice for me, please kindly let me know. Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Rayan

  • Hi Rayan,

The face detect demo program detects the faces captured in your compsite video input(camera or video/movie file through DVD/CD player can also be run) and you will be able to see a box around those faces. So you need to follow the step 6 you have mentioned inorder to see the output of the face detect demo example.
