can PSP Driver of DM6437 used in sys/bios application?

Can PSP Driver of DM6437 used in sys/bios application? The articles of  PSP Driver mentions that PSP Driver is based on DSP/BIOS, I wonder if how to use PSP Driver of DM6437  in sys/bios application.

  • Haishan Ye,

Welcome to the TI E2E forum. I hope you will find many good answers here and in the TI.com documents and in the TI Wiki Pages. Be sure to search those for helpful information and to browse for the questions others may have asked on similar topics.

It can be difficult to determine the correct place to ask a question. There is a DM64x forum, this C6000 forum, and there is a BIOS forum. Since your question is specifically about software, I believe the BIOS forum will be the best place to find the experts who will know an answer.

I may be wrong, but I believe that the BIOS PSP 2.xx is the version that supports SYS/BIOS, which was once known as BIOS 6. If there is not a BIOS PSP release 2.xx for DM6437, then the answer is that SYS/BIOS is not supported by the PSP for the DM6437.

Perhaps a better answer will be coming soon from the BIOS forum.

    Regards,
    RandyP

  • Haishan,

I asked around and the best place to go for questions regarding PSP and DM6437 is the DM64x forum (that Randy had mentioned).  In a moment I will ask that this thread be moved to that forum.

Sorry to bounce this thread to yet another forum, but I’m told there will be people more familiar with PSP on the DM6437 on that forum...

    Regards,
    Scott
