IVA2.2 Motion Estimation Module Access

Hi,

I am looking into the possibility of using the Motion Estimation Module (iME) of the IVA2.2 subsystem on the OMAP3530 as an alternative to computing motion vectors in code. I have seen in the OMAP353x Technical Manual that there is a description of the commands and instructions but I not sure how to use this in a real programming situation.

Firstly, is it possible to use the Motion Estimation module from the DSP and if so, are there any code examples on how this may be done?

Hi,

The Motion estimation module is a part of the IVA and it is possible to be used from the DSP. I'm afraid but I could not provide you any sources.

Hi Tsvetolin ,

Thank you for the confirmation. Apart from the Technical Manual, is there any documentation that can help me to use this module? Unfortunately without any code examples or useful documentation, it seems impossible to understand how I may take advantage of the Motion Estimation from the DSP.
