Hello E2E,

Anyone here with experience of powering up AM1808 ? Would appreciate few pointers to get started. 

I'm yet to receive my evaluation board etc.

    Hi,

    please refer the getting started guide ( GSG ) or Quick start guide of AM1808.

    For example: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/GSG:_Building_Software_Components_for_OMAP-L1/AM1x

    I hope you will find many good answers here and in the TI.com documents and in the TI Wiki Pages.
    Be sure to search those for helpful information and to browse for the questions others may have asked on similar topics.

    In fact, my recommendation is that you search on the TI Wiki Pages for "AM1808" (no quotes) and look through some of the "getting started guides" there.
