Bluetooth with the C5535 eZdsp USB Stick Development Kit

Hello experts,

I've purchased the C5535 eZdsp USB Stick Development Kit (see http://www.ti.com/tool/tmdx5535ezdsp ) and I've read in the documentation that it has a Bluetooth Chipcon expansion connector.

My question: Is there any ready-made expansion board that I can plug into the development kit to easily use Bluetooth to talk to any bluetooth headset? I would like to receive and send audio at the same time.

Looking forward to your replies, and thanks in advance!

Florian

  • Thank you, Steve!

Now I have a solution for the hardware. But what about the software/BT stack?

My application would require that I can send and receive audio to/from a normal bluetooth headset. In other words, the DSP and module should work together as a Headset Profile (HSP) source.

On another thread I read that www.stonestreetone.com makes a BT stack that can be licensed free of charge if I use TI components. Does this cover the HSP that I would require? Because of the expected low volume of the finished hardware product, I want to avoid paying huge upfront and one time costs. Per-unit royalties of up to US$50 should be OK though. Does TI have the right offer for me?

    Thanks again, for your time!

  • You have to contact StoneStreet One for the BT stack and to make sure they can support your requirements. There will be a licensing fee. Please work directly with StoneStreet One.

Also, can you forward me the thread about free licensing so I can update it?

    Regards.
