Android recovery disabled

Hi

As per the link mentioned below, patch has been released to disable the recovery until new mechanism:

So has the new mechanism been implemented?  Can it be integrated with ICS.

Are there any flaws with the original recovery mechanism.

    Thanks for looking into the issue.

    The link which you are referring to is posted by us only, we are able to bring up the recovery by making changes to bootable/recovery/default_recovery_ui.c

    Actually my query was, why the recovery is disabled in JB. Also the link which I mentioned earlier indicates that a new mechanism for recovery is being implemented, so just wanted to know about that.

    Hope I am interpreting it correctly.

    In the post that I indicate and where it is mentioned about alternate JB procedure, it was expected that it worked in JB and I was providing instructions for ICS. Customer was using JB and he reported that it worked.

    One of the changes between JB and ICS is that in JB it is using .cpp code, after running a comparative there were some differences that are indicated in the post but mainly it was the same code with a different interface that was functional. There were 2 solutions, both include changes from the document obtained from TI representative, one solution was including the changes from omapedia.org about recovery and Blaze but applied to JB and .cpp, the second was the change mentioned by the Customer about the same.

    About the mechanism to be implemented I think it was about recovery for Blaze Tablet, the one for Blaze was ok and can be used instead.
